Buckwheat and Chia seed scones

I love a scone at any time of year but there is something about autumn that makes me crave a fresh warm scone and hot mug of tea even more than usual. I love using buckwheat flour and followed this scone recipe here but omitted the honey and added chia seeds and sunflower seeds instead.

Ingredients – Makes about 10 small rounds or 8 large ones
1 cup buckwheat flour
2tsps baking powder
1 large egg
1/4 cup of almond milk or any type milk you prefer
1/4 cup of chia seeds
1/4 cup of sunflower seeds
2 1/2  tbsps butter or margarine
1 tsp salt
Directions
Mix the flour, baking powder, seeds and salt in a bowl. Add the egg, butter and milk and blend to form a light dough mixture. Turn onto a well floured table and cut into even rounds.

Bake in a hot 180C oven for 15- 20 minutes.

I love eating them warm from the oven with butter and of course jam:)
Other good serving suggestions:
Cheese and chutney
Banana and honey
Almond butter

Hope you are all having a good week:)
