Smart Picks for Black Friday

Happy almost Black Friday everyone!

I say almost but it sure feels like the hype has been going on for weeks already! Instead of getting caught up in the madness, I’m taking a very strategic approach when it comes to shopping the sales this year and only seeking out things that are actually on my wishlist. With so many codes flooding our inboxes and insta stories, it’s easy to get overwhelmed during cyber week. By taking a step back and making a list, you can really use the sales to your advantage to fill gaps in your wardrobe or get discounts on brands that wouldn’t usually do markdowns.

I’ve kept my top ten picks to just that – great wardrobe staples, designer wishlist items and beauty and wellness favourites.

My fashion picks including this gorgeous black velvet blazer from Mango – there’s 30% off which is a higher discount than usual and this is a piece that you will literally roll out every party season. Next up – POCO jeans and Spanx Faux leather leggings. I live in my POCOs and have about 5 pairs at this stage – you won’t get them at 25% off at any other time of year, so now is definitely the time to buy. I’ve also been eyeing up the Spanx Moto leggings for a while and the discount might just be the thing to push me over the edge! Finally, I’ve picked this beautiful cream coat from River Island. At the start of the season, I was leaning towards investing in a black coat but there’s just something about winter white that I love and I think I’d get a lot of wear out of this for years to come.

On the higher end, if you’ve had your eye on something special or if you’ve been saving for an amazing bag – now is probably the only time you’ll find these premium brands on sale. I’ve never seen Stuart Weitzman marked this low but Shopbop seem to be running a double discount on this particular style!

Black Friday is an amazing time to update your beauty essentials too. I’ve been lusting after these Anastasia Beverly Hills palettes for ages and with €10 off, what’s not to love? Skincare is an expensive business, so now is an ideal time to stock up or maybe even start a new regime. Therapie are offering 20% off everything including Environ (which I’ve been loving lately) and Image Skincare along with a whole host of gorgeous sets. Hair styling tools are coming up trumps in the sales too – I’m very tempted with €25 off selected GHD stylers at Peter Mark as I’ve heard such rave reviews!

And last but not least is a lovely idea from Rainforest Spa – if you’re anything like me, a day of pampering is always a welcome treat. For Black Friday, Rainforest Spa are giving away a free complimentary mini massage voucher with every Spa voucher (over €100) purchase. That way, you can treat someone else and yourself.
