Staple #2 - Boot Camp | Style by Laura

Hello and happy October everyone!

Having covered black blazers last week, we’re turning our thoughts to another key staple this week – the flat black boot. Those who follow me (@stylebylaura) on Instagram will have seen that I’m leaning towards biker style with a little bit of detail – be it buckles, pearls or studs. The good news is there’s plenty to choose from this season – the hard bit is navigating the endless options and settling on just one pair! Over the weekend, I narrowed my top 3 down to the following from Topshop, Sofia Footwear and Dune and ran a little poll on Insta-Stories to get your feedback! Two and three definitely proved most popular – the Sofia boots were favoured for their timeless simplicity while the Dune ones combine elegance and edgy with ease. I’m still torn!!

I think any of these boots would look great styled with leather trousers and black skinny jeans, making them an absolute wardrobe staple in my book 🙂 What’s more, there’s lots of different options to suit all budgets this season – so even if you’re not sure, you can still dip a toe in the trend without spending a fortune. The Boohoo ones below are only €34 and I’ve heard they’re very comfy!
